It opens like a book, with the mill lying in the waves.
A lighthouse mill deserves a proper arrival. So we designed the box around the moment you open it.
One mill, one spine, one slow reveal
The single box holds one mill. It is folded from a single sheet of plain kraft board, so it keeps the natural colour of the board. A printed band around the middle keeps the lid shut. It locks by tab and slot, and it slides off when you are ready.
Underneath the band, the lid hinges on a spine at the back. Lift it and the whole box opens flat like the cover of a book, with the mill lying along its length in a bed of paper.
A salt and pepper pair, side by side
The double box carries both mills of a pair, lying next to each other. It has two doors, one on each side, and each door opens outward like the cover of a book. You can open either one first. Open one door and you meet one mill. Open the second and the pair is laid out in front of you, the way it will stand on the table.
The mill is the lighthouse. The box is the shoreline it arrives on.
